Anushka performed alongside Shahid Kapoor, Vi Das, and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 film "Badmash Company". This movie was met with mixed critiques. Anushka appeared in a film named Band Baaja Baaraat, starring Ranveer who played a Punjabi-American girl of middle class who sets up her wedding planning business. It received a favourable review, and was considered an overnight and a huge success. The Band Baaja Baaraat anushka's three-film deal under the Yash Raj Films banner was completed.
